If memory serves the overflow of bullshit-businesses-developed-to-deliver-shit-to-homes was what started the internet bubble.

That and the overvaluation of companies who have yet to turn any profit.

Wish I could figure out my next gig. If anyone wants a semi-broken but still mostly working developer who loves Python, is learning Scheme, knows a bit of C, and wants to do something like game development (FLOSS) LMK.

I want to change the world and make it better, but I gotta pay the bills first.

I think the best thing about the GNU Project is it tacitly encourages you to become a better programmer. The documentation invites you to come and play with the rest of the folks who make this software. The code beckons you to take a peek and see what really goes on under the hood.

I've been using this stuff for over 20 years and just gave it a casual "yes, that's important" but for whatever reason this year it's really hitting home. And the reason why sharing that feeling is so important.

Apparently Mark Zuckerberg's t-shirts are made by Italian fashion designer Brunello Cucinelli and cost between 300 and 400 dollars apiece.

I think the most I paid for a T-shirt was in the $30-40 range and that was at a Rush concert.

A good number of my shirts either were free or cost between $10 - $20 a piece, and they have nice designs on them. The one I'm wearing now is from Offworld Designs.
