@emacsen That's true. Sorry. :X
It's not done yet, but the good news is that it should be very easy to do.

things are happening, things happening is good
it's not all for nothing
a little bit depres, but only a little
😩
i've defended rms' pedantry
i believe in free software
i believe copyleft is essential
i believe AGPL3 is the best license
i disagree with those who say "software freedom isn't important these days" or that ease of use is more important
but every time RMS makes the news he undermines the FSF and the free software movement 🤦♂️
i just e-mailed them to discontinue my recurring donation and told them why
gonna increase my donation to software freedom conservancy instead
@lanodan it is raining, which I guess means it's good reading weather
"don't worry today I'll just relax"
"Hm, I wonder how hard it is to switch that mutable datashards code over to elliptic curves. Probably not too hard..."
I am bad at relax
Gold toilets are a shit display of wealth.
Ok, so that's three promise dungeon crawl stone soup characters dead in one morning. Plus brunch!
I think that qualifies as some downtime. What's up next, though?
Today I'm finally going to get some of that downtime in. Don't ask me to do things today, please!
The best way to pressure the FSF to sever ties with RMS is to cancel your membership/recurring donations and let the board know why.
RMS is viewed as the main driver of donations and support for the FSF, an asset as opposed to a liability. 💸 talks
Friam call went well.
Now it's time to relax and play dungeon crawl stone soup for a while???
I need to decompress

@galaxis @cjd @Wolf480pl @emacsen However https://librelounge.org/episodes/25-managing-spam-and-hate-speech-on-the-fediverse.html explains some stuff in the abstract if you're brand new to me talkign about it
@galaxis @cjd @Wolf480pl @emacsen Not yet but only because I'm so swamped. I gave a (apparently convincing enough) explaination at dinner post-APConf but haven't gotten it written down fully yet.
@galaxis @cjd @Wolf480pl @emacsen A more realistic scenario is the "Taylor Swift platinum connection" scenario, a term I am making up right now but which is an observation I did not: you can send Taylor Swift a message, but since she gets so many messages and can set her own stamps level, she makes it very expensive (maybe $500 USD) to reach out to her, while other people may only cost a couple of cents. And of course, someone may be on the other end of that line, filtering her messages...
@galaxis @cjd @Wolf480pl @emacsen I think that attack wouldn't work according to how I understood you writing it out, but we'll have to talk about it later.
@cjd @lain Are you advocating for the natural selection of board games slide? ;)
@cjd @lain Although, you will also note that I had some slides about studying emergent behavior and selecting core game rules for what kind of behaviors we want to encourage ;)
