Working on the old RWoT Petnames paper again. I agreed at RWoT to finish it, since it's a dependency for the Secure UIs one! https://github.com/cwebber/rebooting-the-web-of-trust-spring2018/blob/petnames/draft-documents/making-dids-invisible-with-petnames.md
As you can see, now there are UI mockups. I will be adding a few more.
"How were those images generated?" Glad (I'm pretending) you asked! I made them using Racket's "pict" library. https://github.com/cwebber/rebooting-the-web-of-trust-spring2018/blob/petnames/draft-documents/petnames-pictures.rkt
I haven't gotten sick of the HyperPotions Twitch 2015 After Party megamix but you'd think given how often I listen to it that I would

Cleaning up my org-mode agenda really helped my mental state. Feel like I can pick one task at a time and focus again.

Copyright infringement isn't just copy paste. The legal concept is idea-expression continuum: no copyright on ideas, only copyright on expression. But there is no clear line between the two. Oracle has so far successfully claimed that the abstraction of Java APIs is copyrightable

"Source available" licenses are more nonfree / dangerous than straight up traditional proprietary no-source-available software/licenses. I am actively afraid of being exposed to code under such a license: that's now information that is difficult for me to use in my work on FOSS.
I’ve been hearing this whole “the kids will save us” line since I was a child myself. In the 1980s.
What that line means is “I can’t be bothered to lift a finger, so I’ll make someone else take the responsibility”.
I'm 39 years old. If the people who had said that about my generation as children had decided to actually do something about either climate change or white supremacy, imagine where we’d be by now.
emails: *sit there, unopened*

I have a bunch of non-hacking TODO items that are like, really important, but all I want to do is hack
