All I can say is that I must have cranked the bass in those days, because what I heard on YouTube sounds the same except a lot less bassy. -

I spent many hours standing in front of the family 8-track player wearing headphones while listening to the J5's Skywriter album. Then I got a pocket sized transistor radio and could listen to music anywhere, which reduced the number of hours I stood there at the 8-track player.
(Radio Shack's battery club really helped. Each month I could get a free 9V rectangular battery to power my listening.) -

I'm still in my first one (hoping to finish it tonight), but if you're new to the topic, it may not have the information you need to gain a basic understanding. And it can be somewhat fast paced for such learners. If you're somewhat familiar already, their toy terminal for lesson exercises is aggravating because it expects only specific commands. In some cases, there's another command that can accomplish the same task ... and that is an error.
I'm not negating them. I still think they can be useful as part of a self-training program in which you use multiple sources to learn a particular skill. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

I've altered my daily walking path due to the water. There are two others along my normal daily path, but they are smaller and can be avoided by crossing over to the other side of the street. They are also shrinking, so if there's no rain for another day or two, I should be able to do the usual path again. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

I'm going to rely on the oil to prevent sticking, so I don't need fragile plastic coatings.
I will look into ceramic coated stainless steel, but for now I just use pure stainless. (There's probably a better quality if you're willing to pay for it. The most recent pan I bought was under $40 for one and it seems to work fine.
Granted, I try to cook with lowered heat anyway, so I am not concerned about melting or loosening the coating. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

After rumors fly on social sites, school superintendent in Chippewa Falls #WI issues statement about an incident at the middle school.
Not satisfying to read, as they're saying that they alone can decide whether parents have enough information to allow them to take protective actions over their children. If this happened locally, I would support an effort to recall the school board for this.
You don't have to use inflammatory language, just say that you have information about a possible threat, and that the police are actively involved in ensuring safety. Concealing these things just teaches parents not to trust you.In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink Attachments
