Fischer Verlag hat sie in Frankfurt verklagt, weil sie Werke von Heinrich Mann, Thomas Mann und Alfred Döblin online gestellt hatten, die alle seit den 1950er Jahren tot sind. In den USA sind ihre Werke damit gemeinfrei.In Deutschland aber hat die Copyrightmafia es geschafft, "Tod plus 75 Jahre" als Limit zu etablieren (und, mit Verlaub, dafür hätten hier Politikerköpfe rollen müssen. Was für eine unfassbare Frechheit, so mit unserem kulturellen Erbe umzugehen, damit sich ein paar Einzelne bereichern können!).Pikanterweise hat der Verlag dafür die bekannte Filesharing-Abmahn-Kanzlei Waldorf Frommer beauftragt. So wächst mal wieder zusammen, was zusammen gehört.Projekt Gutenberg hätte jetzt nicht ihre ganze Site blocken müssen, klar, es hätte auch "gereicht", nur die 16 beklagten E-Books wegzumachen. I decided to promote some groups for the newbies, now that the spring might or might not be coming ;-) !fedgroups If you don't know what groups are all about or how they work, just ask! The !grow group is for exchange about growing whatever, gardens, balconies, a pot of salad on your window sill.. so if you grow anything or like to hear and see about it, consider joining.
Since most of us have had enough with snow the !rain appreciation society might be worth considering. It's for people who like rain or who like to rain dance or like to get wet.
The !sewing group is for people who like to sew, also for embroidery and related stuff. So if you want to share ideas or projects or just get inspired, this is for you.
