If that's nationalisation, higher taxes, or some other mechanism, I don't know.

But a massive shift in jobs should result in a universal basic income or something like it.

@joelving there are dozens of AP implementations. Clearly, it's not impossible to implement. It can and should and will be easier. That's no argument for undermining this network. The premise is flawed and the conclusion does not follow.

@joelving we have a good primer on the W3C wiki. I am writing a book for O'Reilly. There are good materials on the web. Developing for other standards does everyone harm. Anyone who is stuck is welcome to ask me personally. If your only choice is developing for another standard or doing nothing, do nothing.

I'm somewhat agree. I like municipal bikeshare services that complement other public transit options.

I dislike predatory capitalism that tries to replace public transit.

The book will be a developer guide that will help programmers connect existing software to the social web, as well as making brand new social applications. Currently, developers depend on reading the specifications themselves, forum posts, wiki pages, blog posts, and other content spread across the Web. I hope that a single book with practical step-by-step information will make learning about and building with ActivityPub easier.
