Yeah. Community still isn't working well and we could surely do with better a groups system. What if someone wanted to join sunbeam's mission but already has a perfectly servicable instance of their own. Why can't I subscribe to Sunbeam's timelines from outside, say?

Adam Dalliance (pre@boing.world)'s status on Tuesday, 12-Apr-2022 21:43:27 UTC Adam Dalliance A few days after Elon, indeed. Too quick to be because of that.
It's a few weeks after Jack became CEO though. That's more likely the proximate cause I reckon.
Jack loves bitcoin but not blockchain for any other purpose. He's probably finally overruled the utility-token arguments and told them no pointless blockchains.
That's what surprised me from the document, the lack of pointless blockchains.
And I did lose my first fedi account when the admin failed to back up before an upgrade. Then was surprised when old posts wouldn't transfer when I finally set up my own instance.
Accounts should be based on transportable public keys not particular logins. And fitted to a person not an instance.
I'm more optimistic than I was.
But it's certainly vapor right now, yeah.
