Me working in Clojure on a rest service in a Java shop, my boss wants to sound competent and asks: are you testing by mocking requests, right?
My answer: why would I ever do that?

@deshipu @clacke not true, there are millions ig accounts of women who wear veils, but thatโs a common western misconception and once again cultural blindness. Did you know that it isnโt even religious, just fashionable to wear veils in most of the Islamic world? Why not surgical or ffp2 masks?
@deshipu @clacke the same goes for you, right? Because you see in nearly 1/3 of the World this is what you would be able to photograph, and I don't see any issue with that.
@deshipu @clacke really, you've never heard of the carnival? Not even Venice's, but in general ๐
@deshipu @clacke I really don't want to give more examples: literally one of the most famous rituals in the World, what you get out of it? Pictures of masks
@jens you need to be managed ๐
Jokes aside, the point is that it's "needed" only for non-working people, aka managers/product managers/etc., if I'm spending 3 months on a topic I know all the ins and outs, and I know how to record the things I care about along the process. I don't need to be handheld and I'm perfectly capable to help the people who need some organization without standups, kanbans and whatnots.
It's weird, but if you want to know what's going to happen to politics in the western world in the next 10-20 years just look at what's going on in Italy
@AbbieNormal talking about political trends, like now in Europe we find the same fragmentation that is in Italy since about 20 years, then other examples are new sovereignist movements, the 5 stars movement, Berlusconi, and so forth. Everything happened in Italy then the rest followed
Am I the only one whoโs bothered by the almost total lack of video/photo content with people wearing masks? At this point itโs quite clear theyโre staying for years to come, I think itโs just not helpful to keep banging our heads against the concept
I'm against scrum in general, but even more so for scrum applied to Data Science or research in general. If you had to do proper scrum with these things you'd have tasks like: thinking hard about this - 5 points; staring at the screen looking at charts - 8 points; redoing everything with slightly different parameters - 8 points.
Does it make sense?
@yogthos where do they get the 70% figure?
@yogthos thx! Though I want to take a closer look to it because nuclear power is very good for base electricity consumption, but itโs very hard to use for peaks and variable consumption
