Hands down, the best pair of boots I've ever owned, Jez. LONG break in period! But, now they are an all day boot. No foot, heal, or back pain.
People are surprised there is no insole. Its all leather (~7layers of leather above the Vibrum heel to your heel.)
My theory, those padded insoles are too soft & get your feet shifting every step. Then you use your muscles to correct the shift. Muscle fatigue.
If these go on sale again black Friday/cyber Monday I'm ordering another pair.

Well.... that was a small adventure....
I use and adore the software KVM program #Barrier, which was an open-source fork of Synergy.
In my setup the System76 #PCLinuxOS KDE desktop runs the server and the Razer 15 #Solus Budgie laptop is the client.
Solus informed me of a software update. 113 updates, including kernel, later I rebooted the laptop.
Then the fun began....
Barrier did not autostart.
In fact it was no longer installed.
When I looked for it in the repo Barrier was not there?

The active maintainers of Barrier for the past 2 years, @p12tic and @shymega [1] have moved their efforts to this repository.
The reasons are the following:
All important parts of the project were controlled by walker0643. No one knows the real identity of that person.
walker0643 has not been active for at least 2 years and did not give enough administrative access to anyone

else, which caused operational issues maintaining the project.
The name debauchee is not professional and should not be associated to a popular project.
Our attempts to achieve a compromise have failed, walker0643 did not think that a fork is bad and encouraged it himself so we are here.

No seriouslly though. A few of us are playing around with packet radio BBSes over HF radio, bouncing 300 baud AX.25 packets across the ionosphere. We're using it to send each other muffin recipes and travel advice.
One of us is sending messages about what birds they heard in their yard as it happens, tied to a ML model that identifies birdcalls. I'm trying to spin that up myself.

They are great knives IMO. K makes nice stuff. Good steel! They KAI stuff in US. Some of their line is made over seas. But, still has good QC.
I have a Leek on the was ATM that they have laser engraved my initials on the handle.
I had a Leek before but left it in some work jeans when I sent them back to the linen service. Never saw it again. :/
