Yes, that's food! An okonomi is a hearty pancake cooked with cabbage, and in this case, onions and mushroom. It can also be cooked with chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops, &c. It's topped with a kind of sweet barbecue sauce, with a dollop of mayonnaise in the centre. In the picture, I had spread out the dollop of mayonnaise before taking a bite.
