@mcscx@quitter.se (mcscx@quitter.se)'s status on Tuesday, 21-Jun-2016 16:46:28 UTC @mcscx@quitter.se I never heard of #virt-manager. Does anybody use it? Until now I use !VirtualBox a lot and sometimes (rarely) #Proxmox. In conversation permalink -

@mcscx@quitter.se (mcscx@quitter.se)'s status on Thursday, 30-Jun-2016 17:30:25 UTC @mcscx@quitter.se @zoowar I like the usablity of Promox. Downside is: development is mostly powered by one company, not a worldwide independant community In conversation permalink -
mcscx2 (mcscx2@status.vinilox.eu)'s status on Thursday, 30-Jun-2016 19:42:33 UTC mcscx2 @mikael I want to virtualise just 1 windows server. There would be 2 psysical computers (called Master and Slave) with the virtualiser and there should be a synchronising mechanism to sync the guest windows machine from the Master physical computer to the Slave physical computer. The guest machine on Slave could be down all the time. In failover case (=Master system broken) the admin would start the replicated guest machine on Slave, so the users can continue their work with minimal downtime.
Now the question is what virtualisiation platform to use.In conversation permalink stig atle likes this.@mcscx@quitter.se repeated this. -

mcscx2 (mcscx2@status.vinilox.eu)'s status on Thursday, 30-Jun-2016 21:40:01 UTC mcscx2 I've found a #HighAvailabilityCluster howto for #proxmox / #kvm: ur1.ca/pdxpi But it uses a shared NFS server for the guest image, I wonder if that could be avoided by some replication method. !virtualisation In conversation permalink @mcscx@quitter.se repeated this. -
