OMG SO GREAT!!!! The Open Bach: Well-Tempered Clavier, Book 1 by by Kimiko Ishizaka, CC licensed, pay what you want. I paid 10 Euros, well worth it. http://music.kimiko-piano.com/ If it's anything as good as her Open Goldberg Variations from a few years ago (http://www.opengoldbergvariations.org/), we are very fortunate indeed. A great artist recording great music and releasing it to the world freely. Thank you!

@jonkulp and a FLAC download option #sweet

@jonkulp video of the recording session, where you can see behind her the biggest category of crowd-funding supporters getting to sit behind her as she's recording in the studio. Her next project is the 24 preludes by Chopin https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Zj6wMOySPYQ#t=698

@inscius cool! Thanks for the link, that escaped my notice. Will definitely listen.
-
@perloid awesome! If you're interested you can help fund her most recent effort, which ends today and is an open recording of the Chopin 24 preludes on a piano that Chopin played.

@perloid and her "Open Goldberg Variations" is great as well.

@perloid I think I'll celebrate the open well-tempered Clavier by doing new #hpr episode about "fugue" as part of requested topic of music theory, with liberal examples *legally* inserted from this recording.
-
@perloid harpsichord. I like the harpsichord pretty well but I find that for extended listening the piano wears better.

Kimiko couldn't come because of a family emergency, but we spoke to Robert (her husband) right before the release about it: http://www.musicmanumit.com/2015/03/open-goldberg-ii-150322-music-manumit.html

I guess I should look at the comments first, but in my defense there have been several!

I don't believe Bandcamp supports CC0
