I had a Pleroma test account a couple of years back and used it a bit. Nothing I saw changed that impression.

@strypey That is a complete misrepresentation of how Pleroma FE looks and what it does. It was a rewrite from scratch by people annoyed with both GS and Qvitter and it looks like neither, but instead makes its own compromise between linear and conversation-oriented, one which I preferred to both GS and Qvitter right out of the gate.
