Still, the manual route must work? Import the key with apt-key and add a file in sources.list.d?
@clacke @doctormo Nope, even with python3-launchpadlib it will not work.
@doctormo Just for info, PPA are not supported on Debian : https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1029766#10
I'll test the appimage... It was pretty slow on my previous PC but perhaps OK with the new one.
@doctormo HO many thanks ! I'll vote and try for the stable PPA !
❤️
...completly forgot it... I'm getting old !
@brunus ah then may i recommend the inkscape stable ppa, or the appimage. No need to snap on debian, better options are available. :awesome:
@doctormo Hi ! I can confim your account steel in my contacts list.
@doctormo Ok I switched to Debian 12 this summer to have Inkscape 1.2 from Debian's repositories... I think I now need again a snap package for Innkscape 1.3 ! 😅
@brunus @doctormo I trust you when you say it's not working, but the bug doesn't say that.
The bug literally says that the way they're not supported is that the lib is missing and that installing it cures it.
They then say they won't add it to Recommends and the bug ends.
@clacke @doctormo I tried, I had the ppa in my sources.list.d but apt update don't find the route to the package and submit an error.
It's clearely said in the Debian's bugtracker that ppa are not supported.
