Lol, absolutely not. A Carrington-type event would have an enormous impact, but this app with its alarmist bullet points is not going to help you “safeguard your home.”

Those transformers are in short supply, and have production times on the order of a year, IIRC. Take enough of them out, and the lights won’t be coming back on in some places for a looooong time. It won’t matter whether your home electronics and appliances are damaged.
