   Conservatives are currently championing a bill revoking Disney's special tax status and ability to act as its own government, which would be the most left wing thing ever, if the entire reason for it wasn't to punish them for supporting LGBTQ rights.

     I told one of my friends I'm thinking of leaving the US because it's getting just way too unhinged, and they suggested I stop watching the news (which does seem like a very American solution). "This country is the greatest country on earth, you just have to ignore the rapid decent into a fascist police state".

     @AstroKatie everywhere has it's problems, but there are few western nations that come anywhere close to where the US is at IMO. Even the UK with brexit is miles better, I just don't want to live there for non-political reasons.
