I am glad you are letting them leave the site at the end of their work, otherwise they will start piling up in the corridors and you'll start running low on tea and biscuits 🤣
/me suddenly aware that “tea and biscuits” is not a worldwide standard practice for site engineer support and appreciation, must do better…

He’s called Vu and I am going to have to put him on my Christmas card list now because we are developing a close friendship. Vu tells me that the coaxial cable is in top shape and the issue is definitely in the upstream fibre. We still do not have Internet.

On the bright side, this meant they didn’t have to phone me for directions. But of course he couldn’t fix it any more than he could(n’t) earlier in the week. So we still do not have Internet.

He has declared that there is no carrier signal at the entry point to the property, which we already knew from the first two technicians. We still do not have Internet.

Deborah Pickett (futzle@aus.social)'s status on Wednesday, 22-Jun-2022 00:19:25 UTC Deborah Pickett A new NBN technician has been sent. Again he had to phone me for directions because he is only given the address of the industrial estate, which has ten factories on it.
It is a second visit by a technician but this one has not been informed of any of the history of the incident so he is starting from square one.
