     @thunderbird Would be useful for deGoogled phones, if the new Version keeps being available via @fdroidorg . Same for folks who do not want any apps from the Google store.

     And please let it be usable for tablets too.

     @alextofanel @Cedara @fdroidorg Just like K-9 Mail, Thunderbird Android will absolutely be maintained on F-Droid.

     Why would Fdroid remove it? And even if they do Thunderbird can make a fdroid repo for it. Either way I agree. I'm not going to make a google account just so I can use Thunderbird Android. (I know Aurora Store exists, but frankly I haven't had a reason to use it since if it's a proprietary service, I'll use it on a browser on my laptop).

     @thunderbird please, don't add telemetry. K-9 is quite good in it's current shape. Whatever you add, make sure they're features and not anti-features. Thank you.

     Don't force us to use a fork with removed telemetry (this is the current situation with Firefox).

     If you say so, that's not what the legal documents say. You still also do the same crap Mozilla do to Firefox: opt-out analytic, tracking page opened by default...

     K-9 is good because it's independent. Mozilla's track record is too awful to not ruin it.

     So just don't.
