     @drwho If I would hazard a guess, this would be because the site is HTTP/2-optimized and doesn't bundle its JS, instead downloading every single little thing as its own file.

     @clacke That is a possibility. If that were the case, however, functionality of the Gmail frontpage would be broken, wouldn't it?
