Just a smart reminder I guess π It's just that as a parent, the only injunction you get is to be careful "not to put your child in front of a screen too much". But yes, even if controlled, a tiny amount of time can do more harm, and also cause frustration and therefore an unreasonable desire to see everything and especially anything. As usual, the key is dialogue and guidance β¦

1. Asked them what they thought the *current* rules were around digital devices (turns out they weren't very clear!)
2. Asked them what they thought reasonable rules would be
3. Had a chat / negotiation
4. Printed them out, signed them, and stuck then to the fridge!

I say this as a parent of a 15 year-old boy and 11 year-old girl. My wife and I always feel like we're doing it wrong, even though they're very sporty and academically successful.
