Interesting #Mastodon #Bug: GIF previews do not respect the image preview setting. As in, a "tall" GIF that has a preview set to display the top part still ends up with a preview centered.

It allows you to add an alt caption, and center the preview on a particular part of the image, if the aspect ratio does not match the aspect ratio of in-timeline image previews on Mastodon.
