you mean --convert-links ?
I think I did, yeah
The version of the command I found here does work
I don't understand why but hey
https://www.eff.org/keeping-your-site-alive/mirroring-your-site
can you figure out what these switches do ?
I can't
wget -mkxKE -e robots=off http://www.example.org/
look I tried with the command line found here, and it seems it worked

@AbbieNormal Huh probably it mostly worked - you probably have the links there even if you don't see them. They are empty boxes over the background image...
And wget doesn't download the background image probably because it doesn't understand the url() CSS function.
Probably if you download http://learnyouahaskell.com/newsplash.png and put it in the downloaded folder, all should look fine again?
anyway, thanks !!
What about the capital K ?
it's to be said that I made the working try on a different machine, go figure
I should try on the original machine to be sure
Now I tried agan on the same machine where it didn't work this morning
It still doesn't work
It works on my work laptop, it doesn't work on my personal one
my hypothesis
on the work laptop Firefox comes from Snap
On my personal laptop Firefox comes from Flatpak
Flatpak apps are weird about accessing the filesystem
