     @theruran But why crypto? How is this insanity spreading so fast through seemingly reputable organizations?

     What's next? Wikipedia selling NFTs for article edits so the buyers can prove they contributed?

     Why not embrace MLMs while they're at it? Same kind of ethics is involved, but at least the branching factor on wastefulness/climate impact is much lower.

     @vortex_egg @pixouls it feels like they are desperate to remain relevant while/by expanding the scope of their mission.
