I feel like there aren't enough movies that take "show, don't tell" to its extreme by not having dialogue.
In fact I can't remember seeing any at all.

I would be so interested in seeing a movie where you follow a non-verbal protagonist that just.. _does things_. No talking, no exposition. Just let me watch this person (or any type of animal) experience something.
@clacke oh yeah, Pingu! I loved that when I was little.
Now that I think about it, Donald Duck used dialogue rather sparsely and when they do speak it's as much quacking as it is actual words.
I'll check out the others, and 9 in particular. Thanks :)
@clacke Definitely checking out A Quiet Place first :)
@clacke they do indeed!
@sith yeah it would be really cool to follow a truly alien being around and watch it do things while trying to figure out why it's doing it. As long as you can sort of follow _what_ it's doing.
Greg Egan has wonderful ideas. I have a bunch of his books on my reading list!
@sudoreboot I would like to see a movie where you follow a protagonist who has close to zero anthropomorphic features. Is that even possible? Maybe make a story about some kind of intelligent entity that tries to maximize entropy in its environment. Greg Egan might have written something like that.
