Whether it's Go, C#, or Swift, I don't think it's a great idea to write code in a programming language dominated by a single megacorporation.

Unfortunately it's really not practical to learn less popular languages while I'm still getting my degree. Maybe it's the wrong approach, but if it doesn't help with my classes I'm much less likely to spend free time on it.
