@Seirdy We know the problem, but where are the solutions?

How do you make software smaller and faster to build withouth sacrificing useful and crucial features? It's very easy to say, “let's go monke!”, make software ultra minimal and useless, and abandon GUI entierely, but we all know 99.99% of people in this planet can't be bothered to become professional hackers and learn how to use a bare bones OS.

@silmathoron I'm not talking about the multiplatform part. I'm talking about the necessary complexity of software that makes software development easier for everyone. The more I think about it, the more I come to the conclusion that unfortunately, a lot of this bloat is necessary.

Web and Flutter development is ORDERS of magnitude easier and more versatile than GTK or Qt development, for instance.

@be Why? As long as it's free software we can fork it. Programming languages aren't generally as complex as web browsers, are they?
