Building my new server on Linode and have hit a conundrum. I’m most used to using Arch Linux, but I want to use iredmail, which doesn’t support Arch. It does support Gentoo and Ubuntu. Linode has an old Gentoo kernel available, but appears to be deprecating support for Gentoo. Ubuntu is my least favorite option.

Basically you creat a small boot partition so the Linode tools are there and a large partition with your preferred distro/kernel.
