   I admit that I skipped a lot of the Birdsite shitstorm over sexycyborg, because why spend time reading yet another brawl, but re-reading it again it does appear that she was badly treated by Make magazine and then censored by Twitter when she got annoyed.
   
   She'd be better off returning to the fediverse. Have a maker instance and try to build up a community around that. Control your own content and narrative and forget about Make magazine and their BS. She could still post to YouTube.

     @bob @cathal It's an old thing, she has been barred from Make things for at least two years because she's not "family-friendly". But then Make dude went and said something particularly nasty, which started this latest row.
     
     And then he goes all "I'm sorry, you're welcome to come speak of your experiences as a woman." ... dude, she wants to talk about LEDs and breadboards.

     They are on occasion *very* small bikinis. But at no point should that affect whether she gets a magazine interview.
     
     If they're afraid of skin, what should matter is what she's wearing to the event, not what one might google up. She's pushing at some taboos in society, but she's not tone deaf. She just likes trolling people at street fairs.
