     @mmn went for a hike in the forest with my kids instead, nice to get out in nature even if rain is pooring down.

     @mmn @theru I actually do have an axe, a replica of a viking axe. :) I have it in my 'survival' bag, along with all kinds of other tools and stuff. I usually bring it with me when I'm out, always nice to practice with the tools I've got. My fav tool has to be the firepiston , small brass cylinder with a rod, you put some tinder on it and quickly compress the rod and the tinder turns into ember, you then light the fire with that.

     @stigatle Haha, that firepiston sounds awesome. Sounds like a cheater's kind of firesteel! I've just got firesteel and a waterproof small container with various tinders in my stash(es).

     @mmn Firesteel is great, I have that too in my kit. The best part of firesteel is that it works even when its really wet and damp, and low effort if you know the technique.
