   I do enjoy the platform Mastodon/GNUSocial and the 100% nice conversations I've had here (so far, blocklist: 0)... but the amount of effort to post events I consider important here compared to the resulting response, I must say it's… quite fatiguing.

   I would have thought, especially considering which instance I chose, that more people would forward the info or interact with me when I post it.
   This is not because "want followers!" (I don't, really) but that important info should be seen by many.

     On the days I am active (most), I spend all time not sleeping or cooking food at finding and posting the info I find.
     To then get like 0-5 boosts/forwards/requips/whatever per day from that...
     I am sure you can see this is not "whining", but really seems like a lot of effort and not a lot of result.

     I have n̲o̲t̲h̲i̲n̲g̲ else to do where I live, but… it still is… tiresome.

     @b9ace !OStatus instances don't generally filter or algorithmise the feeds, so repeating/boosting/faving is not necessary to increase a post's worth. If people want to see more posts they'll subscribe to you and get them. There's no need to work around any built-in capitalism, so your posts will likely be seen by more than you'd think would see them on shitter.

     Repeating does reintroduce it to everyone's streams though, and spread it to followers of the repeater, followers who might not otherwise see the post.

     @clacke and favouriting seems to repeat the post as well,and will bump the thread up, at least in classic ui. Not that I disliked this. @mmn

     @clacke Yeah but repeating is just a shortcut for copypasting ;) So user generated and transparent.
