@einebiene What's fun is the "time machine" functionality on https://mapillary.com/ that lets you look at historic pictures of the same place. Which is even more fun if the graffiti changes every two weeks .D

@einebiene You can become one of us !mappers and discover some !osm features or things that need updating :)
-
@einebiene It makes walks much more interesting to look around and see whether you can update something in your part of the world .)
-
@einebiene you don't need a smartphone .)
One simple thing to do is just house numbering, taking notes on a paper.
Or noting where there are empty areas on the map, looking at satellite imagery (available via the !osm editors both on web and desktop) and noting where something is odd (maybe missing a playground) then walking there and taking paper notes.
Actually, the only thing a smartphone is good for is easily upöloading gpx tracks, but if you already know where you are and have satellite imagery pen and paper tends to be a much faster tool (and then mapping on a desktop)
Just remember that connecting your account to your ohysical home is easy if you're mapping close to home, so either don't care, don't map near your home or use another alias.

@mmn @einebiene You can also use http://fieldpapers.org/ for offline mapping. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Field_Papers

@einebiene Alright! But if you ever visit the hospital, you could maybe mark the main entrance or something. All the mundane things are interesting to map! ;)
But I won't push you, just saying there's more to mapping than you think!
-
@einebiene That'd be super neat to add to #Mapillary (CC:by-sa licensed street images with the right to extract data to !OSM).
-
@einebiene You should be able to upload images without gpx data embedded and then just place it on their map via the web interface.

@einebiene weird I could only access on https://www.mapillary.com
