Bob Mottram (bob@primatemind.info)'s status on Friday, 30-Sep-2016 15:11:19 UTC Bob Mottram @vsatayamas Back in the late 19th century Kropotkin did some back of the envelope type calculations for how much "socially necessary labour time" was actually needed, and his estimate was about three hours per day per capable adult (see "The conquest of bread"). Maybe four if you want luxury goods. And that was with the technology of the time, which was mostly horses and carts. Today the amount of socially necessary labour time is probably far less.
