With the new 1Password it seems the product has gone completely SaaS and their UX is much worse than it used to be. Maybe I'll finally be able to convince my family to actually try Bitwarden
Today’s post was inspired by a similar post from my friend @kev the other day. In it I talk about my own experience with imposter syndrome and how I’m trying to use it these to my advantage these days. https://chriswiegman.com/2022/05/my-life-as-an-imposter/
@jgoerzen I tried to move off. Setup my own Gitea for a while, tried Gitlab and others too. In the end I couldn’t get rid of my GitHub account as too much still happens there. Today I use it as the main repo. Considering if I publish to a package repo like npm, etc there isn’t much difference anyway I don’t know how much it matters. That said, I also back up all my repos just in case.
Talking to friends who care about making tech better for all and it shouldn’t really surprise me why many of them have run from various projects and FOSS in general.
