For the second time I've been suffering from mild insomnia for some days and gone into an event pretty exhausted, had a couple of days of high social interaction and little time for sleep, and come out of it feeling totally energised and refreshed. Maybe I'm an extrovert after all. Or maybe the whole introvert/extrovert distinction is bad science.

Whenever I buy something it takes a while to work out how real a company is, it can be really hard to work out whether you're buying from a sole trader in their garage, amazon (a lot of second hand book website seem to actually be them), or a real legitimate company that pays taxes.

I think the real problem is that programming languages need to be radically better, with better programming user interfaces, and taught in more meaningful ways. I'm not sure obsessing over assembly, basic and the good old days, or paying attention to techbros like dhh, will get us there
