@lostnbronx Are you kidding me?
speexenc was a HORRIBLE command.
speex sounds terrible at the same file size as opus.
I'm glad to be rid of it. Maybe it's great in telephony (maybe not; I don't know) but it has no place in my heart or my feed.
Sorry, didn't mean to lash out, but basically I feel stupid for having held out for so long.

It's 2 days old; expect improvements/changes, but basically:
$ mkenc.sh --help
# gen ogg,opus,speex,m4a from foo.flac:
$ mkenc.sh foo.flac
# gen only ogg (or opus, etc):
$ mkenc.sh --ogg-only foo.flac
#gen all but aac (or opus, etc):
$ mkenc.sh --no-aac foo.flac
There some options here and there (bitrate, etc). I also force a mixdown to mono, hardcoded, because podcasts in stereo are dumb.
Requires:
sox, fdk_aac (or other), opusenc, speexenc, oggenc
Interlinked Foundation casino: it has a craps table that's got weird brown skid marks from someone mistaking it as a toilet, a video poker machine that's stuck playing minesweeper, a slot machine where the handle just falls off, and a roulette wheel made out of an office chair and a spare tire.
