stig atleJust one more bug in #yaics before I can check in my code, Now I've added a setting for max number of statuses to show at once, once it reaches this it'll clean out the timeline and start filling it up again with new statuses. This prevents yaics from freezing when it has too much statuses loaded. I just have to fix a small issue with the 'load older statuses' button, so that it shows up where its supposed when the timeline is cleaned.

stig atleI have some good news for #yaics users, I had an idea on my way to work today on how to fix the bug that's been causing it to freeze when its been running for a long time. I now clear the timeline before it gets too huge (it'll be a configurable number, set to something reasonable default value), this then stops it from loading too many statuses and then freeze. I'm testing it today, and if it works fine then I'll clean it up and get it checked in within a day or two.
After this fix I will rewrite the embedded image loader, so that it does not use the webview, since this has been removed in the latest Qt LTS.
Then I'll deal with the slowdown when theres a lot of statuses, I'll try and clam the number of statuses shown at the same time in the list to a reasonable default number, then let you specify manually as well.
Then make a new image preview system (since webwidgets are removed), most likely I'll try and make it the same as with the avatar image preview. I'll start with that, then move on from there.
That means as soon as the other users has tested and confirmed it I free up some time to work on other things, the plan then is to fix some of the important #yaics bugs.
What I want to fix is to make it compile out of the box with the latest stable QT LTS release. They removed webwidget if I remember correctly, so the code that shows attached images has to be fixed. I want to get rid of the webview for that, and use the same type of widget as the avatars.
@cmhobbs Which ones? (you mean the error it returns when you sometimes click 'follow'?) That is part of the issue - it's not server side but client-side issue. The buttons does (for some strange reason) not always 'see' that you are already following a user, so it some times wrongly show 'follow' button when it should be 'unfollow', so when you click 'follow' on someone you already follow - then it returns a error instead (error downloading xml or something like that. I need to fix this. #yaics .

stig atleI have pushed the initial 'follow\unfollow' code to the #yaics repository, but it's not tagged as a release yet, there is still a few things that needs to be fixed that has to do with it. But feel free to get the latest and give it a try.. More updates will come soon as I get the remaining things fixed. Also - currently it uses the 'button layout' that the other buttons uses, but I'm most likely going to move it to somewhere else, (maybe a right-click menu when you right-click the avatar, or something similar, for now it's a button in the status message itself..).
@oemplojerad I'm very close to having follow\unfollow in #yaics now. I have implemented it, but the server replies: "Network error: Error downloading https://quitter.no/api/friendships/create.xml - server replied: Forbidden" (That is the correct url - right?). I might have to ask @knuthollund tomorrow if he can see what's going wrong in the log.
What projects are you going to focus on? It's hard to let projects go.. I have two main projects I work on, #yaics , and the render plugin for 3dsmax for the http://luxrender.net render engine. The render plugin is the most demanding one, especially since I'm short on time every day, it's hard to find time to really focus and get stuff done.
