> #Twitter is replacing its current streaming APIs with a new Account Activity API, which is in beta testing, but third-party developers have not been given access. With access to the Account Activity APIs, third-party Twitter clients say they might be able to enable some push notifications, but Twitter has also provided no detail on pricing. Automatic refresh of the timeline is set to be disabled entirely.
#introductions It seems to be a good point of time again to mention that #Halcyon exists. It's an Webclient which makes #Mastodon look like #Twitter so it's easier and more user-friendly with all the advantages of Mastodon. If you come from Twitter and want to make your internet life free while keeping it simple, you should probably try Halcyon out.Use it for free at http://social.dev-wiki.de (connect with your existing Mastodon account) or host it yourself http://github.com/halcyon-suite/halcyon
#twitter had me #shadowbanned for 24 hours this week. I have >NO IDEA< why. I did not deserve it. They did not tell me why. We need to destroy #socialControlMedia just like we need to obliterate evil companies that spy and destroy human rights, like #uber and #facebook
again a great chance to introduce many new people to the #fediverse.
#Vero is getting hudge attention over #twitter. It's a new social network, co-founded by a capitalist that left thousands of their workers unpaid in a dessert camp, and even stoped food, electricity...suply.
We can: - make that visable - highlight the anti-capitalist values of the fediverse - expand on the beauty of federation and free software ...
-> tweet by using #Vero -> rt to give tweets higher ranking -> spread it
On activities in #Twitter. Is Twitter heading to #ActivityPub also?! ...I checked via Twitter's web interface: I do see the message favorited... and you know, Twitter shows, at least in web interface, your "Like Activity". I need to investigate, maybe #AndStatus will be able to receive such some day... https://loadaverage.org/attachment/4018314
#twitter de blocked a tweet by 'young green' that was about taking position against turkish #terrorism and to be in solidarity with ppl in north- #syria
That's not just a fault by twitter but by german law. twitter has to pay high fines for anything that goes against german law. ...and being in solidarity with those being attacked is to some extend illegal in #germany.
