It is nice to sit and listen to an episode of “Quirks and Quarks”. This marvelous science program on CBC Radio was first brought to my attention by colleagues at McGill and UBC when I was a graduate student. I have been a fairly regular listener ever since. I especially like how cross-cutting (eclectic) are the topics that come together to make a single episode. In the latest, we go from dolphins to foxes to Neanderthals hunting 13 ton elephants to rubble-pile asteroids to particle physics. Wow!
