So, while at my sister's house for a short vacation away from our staycation, we went to Best Buy to look at TVs. We wanted to replace the old CRT in our guest room; it can no longer receive signals OTA (and we canceled cable), plus it's an energy hog. Best Buy had a floor model LCD TV they wanted to get rid of - a Vizio normally selling for about $200 that they wanted to sell for $160. They sold it to us for $130. It was "internet ready." I figured I'd give it a try. Not only did it have Netflix and Amazon Video applications already installed, it had a UPNP-compliant video/audio app. It immediately found our MythTV box. All recorded TV and movies are available on that TV, without having to attach an iPad or put a new PC or old laptop in that room. That was a nice buy.
