The joy on the # NASA TV live stream was the best part. As regards the # science , the hard work is just beginning as these samples make their way through a process and then into a challenging analysis effort. Congratulations to everyone involved in this mission! https://chirp.cooleysekula.net/attachment/3be6480a8d8629ca9b048c19aafa7f24ab39a1c0cde525621103833c0f2d4d8a/view -

My favourite one, which I've been using a lot lately to find new people to follow, is that profile search now works on bios too and not just the user name. So if you type, say, "astronomer", "scicomm" or "journalist", you'll find people with those words in their bio. And the opt-in full-text search for posts, with operators, is also great! https:// blog.joinmastodon.org/2023/09/ mastodon-4.2/ -
Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Friday, 22-Sep-2023 00:11:29 UTC Stephen Sekula … and just like that, my # Mastodon instance is running the brand new and shiny version 4.2! Painless upgrade and I’ve made sure to mark my profile so that my public posts can be found by broader search. I hope 4.2 is the next step in the evolution of the # ActivityPub and Mastodon communities being able to better connect! -
Stephen Sekula (steve@chirp.cooleysekula.net)'s status on Friday, 22-Sep-2023 00:10:12 UTC Stephen Sekula I am VERY excited for tomorrow: we have the first @ SNOLAB Research Division retreat. We are gathering at # LaurentianUniversity to share ideas, advocate for new directions, and build a stronger community … within the division and with partners across the laboratory and our community. I don’t know what will come from this, but it will be a beautiful journey. -
