   NYC is a lot quieter then is was ~10yrs ago. I can actually sleep. It used to be sirens and car horns all night long.

     @nybill i recall a movie that the main character took with him a tape with those noises so he could sleep in a quiet southern city.

     @ghostdancer Ha, I recall that. There is city noise. They just put a noise ordinance into effect some time back. I think they can ticket people for using their car horns excessively. It helped. It used to be non-stop beeping.
