It appeared that AndStatus v.26.03 is incompatible with Android 4.x. So if you have Android 4, please download new version from Google Play now or wait for AndStatus v.26.04 in F-Droid repository.
I published the fix in v.26.04 very quickly, but I published it initially to Google Play only because I was unaware that the same buggy release was published by F-Droid also. Only several hours later one of users, who reported a crash of v.26.03, told me, that he installed it from F-Droid...
I created special release tag for F-Droid in AndStatus source code repository, but I don't know, when it will be published by F-Droid.
