     I find it confusing when people talk about "Linux" being different from Android.

     @vinzv Depends on what you mean by "Linux" :-) But its technically correct meaning is the kernel, which is used in android as well. To me personally the important thing isn't if a mobile OS is "Linux" or not, but whether it's FLOSS, i.e. to what extent the user has power over the device and OS.
