     Chicago is the only place in Illinois, Louisville and Lexington are it in KY. I suspect Ohio is functionally not a contender. Indiana may get added if we discover a children's hospital in Indianapolis. It's possible we'd live in Indiana if it were a Louisville job, but suspect we'd live downtown. Also, we are not looking in CA, but Wendy will be there once in Sept and once in Oct, and she has family in the field there (broadly speaking), so it might happen.

     Portland does sound better to me than Seattle, but I suspect ultimately we'll stay east of the Mississippi...or perhaps just on the other side in Minnesota.

     I assume you mean WI? I think a fair amount of academic budgets aren't set. I need to check UNC right now actually.

     we nixed Hawaii and now have a list of cities, but I'm not in the mood to post the list of cities atm
