To say Wendy got mad or even that she scolded me would be an overstatement...I suppose it's most accurate she questioned my decision to get a product from Canada, presumably because I should be buying south of that border.
The product in question: maple syrup. I'll let you be the judge on that decision. I guess it would be nice to know from where in Canada, but the California border is definitely further than the Canadian...

Canada still closer than VT by some distance.

Cincinnati. I'll have a look for Rathbuns if we ever head back to http://junglejims.com/ (unless you know of a national chain that carries it). I'm doubtful about that happening though since it's like a 25-minute drive. There are plenty of groceries in the city. Eastgate technically has a #Cincinnati address, and there is a bus stop literally in front of Jungle Jim's, but it's not really the city, if you know what I mean.

It's not a big deal at all. I just thought of all the things to make a comment about, maple syrup seemed an odd one. It's on their damn flag!
To emphasize how little this really matters: we almost didn't even buy syrup. We don't really eat pancakes or waffles. It's good to have for recipes though.
That said, depending on shipping prices, I'm not opposed to ordering syrup. We already get a shipment from Blue Apron every week (we just started, and we like it, but it is expensive, so not sure how long we will keep it up)

Canadian maple syrup is almost certainly from Quebec, like that narrows it down much. But I live here: http://www.elmiramaplesyrup.com/ And yes, my house is within the map area. !Canada !food
