!til how to create a list of bad blocks, and how to write all over a disk surface (usually to 'scrub' it, so it's called scrub) which *might* 'refresh magnetisation of bad blocks (I'll create another list after that so I can compare); the first test is 25% done now :(. I also sorted out the 'clone' of the disk with the bad blocks (and Photos backup WIP), and have gone back to rescuing photos from my old Photos HD. That's still nerve-wrackingly sloooooow.
