Still using my #openbsd laptop for my development, it works great, I'm very happy about this OS. It's the first time I feel I have it set up so that I can use it for everything I do. The only thing I miss is being able to use steam's 'in-house streaming' from it so that I can play some games, but I can live without that on this particular laptop. I got other machines for that.

I have not installed from the ports tree currently (but I plan on doing so), I have just used the package manager to install everything I need, that handles updates as well.

Not currently, I installed the default stuff only. but I'm going to set it up as -current as well as the ports , because there are some cool stuff there that's only in -current. I was planning on setting it all up tonight, but I got sidetracked by a renderer for 3dsmax that I'm working on.

I'm going to replace debian with openbsd on my Lemote Yeelong laptop as well, since I now see that it runs so well. I use that laptop when we go to our camper and such. I really like to use it, but it's kinda like torturing your self, because it's so painfully slow, especially when you compile stuff on it, but I still enjoy it for some obscure reason.
It's the most expensive slow hardware I've ever bought, but it feels like freedom because everything from bios to drivers and OS can be compiled from source.

Wow, that's kind of you! I do live in Norway tough.
What system is it?

@marcus Wow, that's kind of you! I do live in Norway though.

Yeah, I saw libertyBSD some time ago, I like that project. I might install and test that soon.
And see if it does the same job as what regular OpenBSD does for me now (then I'd use that instead).

What country are you in? I could pay for shipping unless it's super expensive. I've been wanting one of those as replacement for my lemote.

That would be awesome, I cannot thank you enough.
Keyboard and power is no problem, that can be sorted as you say.
I drove through switzerland some years ago on a motorcycle trip from here to Venice in Italy and back again (two week trip) beautiful country.
