     More than internet speed, it’s processor speed. On an old netbook it took 2 days to get to the reboot. On my desktop with 4 processors and 16GB RAM even the kernel only took a few minutes. Once you get it all installed, a Gentoo system is about the lightest there is if you use the use flags to strip off unneeded parts & libraries.

     @encycl My patch to restore the deblob USE flag to gentoo-sources is nearly done. Just need to test it.
