   The suspect relay in the Chicken Coop Door Controller has been replaced, and this morning the door opened as it should.
   
   I still don't understand how the relay could fail; it was/is only used for 30 seconds each day.

     @NYbill yea, mechanical failure is most likely the culprit, but I would expect more from a 12v automotive relay.

     @jezra If its use is "Continuous Duty" its a different class of relay. (learned this the hard way, um, ~3 times before i figured it out.)
