When I left Twitter almost 2 yrs ago, I lost a following of 11K who provided revenue streams (coaching, books, speaking). My almost 3K here hasn’t served the same function, & there tends to be an anti-monetization ethos on the Fedi. I get it, but big brands & corp extraction capitalism ≠ single shingle folx like me.
